Yes, I want to
How can I help?
VotetoSurvive.org.uk is a one-off website project, run on a purely volunteer basis to provide information and advice during the 2019 General Election for those who are more concerned about the immediate, existential threats facing the whole of humanity right now than about Brexit or other issues, however relevant or important these may be.
There are are only two possible outcomes of this election: either a government led by Boris Johnson or a government led by Jeremy Corbyn. If neither party are able to form a government, even with the support of smaller parties, there would have to be another election under the present system.
When considering the life-threatening emergencies we are facing and what must be done to address them as a matter of urgency, the choice is very clear: a government led by Jeremy Corbyn is far more likely to address these issues at the scale and level of urgency required than is another Boris Johnson government.
This website fully supports the Labour Party, the policies of the Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the Labour Party, but is entirely independent of the Labour Party or of any other political organisation. In order to form a Labour government, this website supports being strategic about voting in some constituencies where Labour has little or no chance of winning and where voting Labour is therefore likely to return a Tory MP. We prefer to call this 'strategic voting' rather than 'tactical voting', but it nonetheless means, for some people in some constituencies, voting for a party other than the Labour Party in order to ensure a Labour government is elected.
We do not solicit funds nor are we spending any funds, other than our own volunteer time to create this website and the costs of setting it up. Since these costs are well below the threshold of £20,000 set by the Electoral Commission for registration of 'third parties' for this election, VotetoSurvive.org.uk is not registered.
